I do not care about Donald Trump and Russia

I care about affordable education, Medicare for all, stopping private prisons, raising wages and fixing our transportation infrastructure. We have a middle class that's dying. Everyday on the front page of reddit I see a new story about tiny hands Trump and how he is really gonna get it now… and nothing, not a God damn thing has happened and will happen. These stories are distractions from real issues that should be talked about. The Democrats have zero platform. Listen to Pelsoi talk after the midterms. She talks about unity and founding fathers… she sounds like trump when he was running by not talking about a single issue for there party to pursue. The longer we jerk off about trump getting punished because Russia, the more clearly you see the Democrats in power dont have a platform. To win the next election our party needs to be more than just about trump. It needs to be about issues we face that America can agree on but out politicans ignore because of donors. Voting against trump and voting for progress is as easy as walking and chewing gum.

Are Republicans Racist?

Was having a conversation with a Bernie Bro friend (literally the only political person in our friend group also the only one to not smoke but whatever). He started cursing out Dave for being a racist because he said he'd vote for Trump. Anyone here know why he would react like that? What would you say to a Trump supporter like Dave? Wanna smoke?

Software engineer interested in helping

Hi folks! I’m a software engineer at Google who is interested in taking some time (maybe off) to help support the progressive movement and have been behind Bernie 100%. Does anyone have experience reaching out to the campaign or to the Bernie’s senate office to contribute your time? I’d like to find something where my industry experience could help, but that may be a tall order in politics.

Thanks!

Super delegates will probably choose the candidate in 2020

Given how many candidates are going to run in the Democratic primary and the system of proportional allocation, it seems highly unlikely anyone will reach the number of delegates required to clinch in the first round. This means, under the new rules, the convention will be contested and go to a second round of voting in which super delegates become in play. It pains me to say it, but unless he has a truly commanding lead in delegates, there's no way party insiders allow Sanders to take the nomination in that scenario. Having trouble envisioning any other outcome, am I wrong?
