Why tax the billionaires?

Donate and support us on Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/bePatron?c=1785147

One argument I rarely see is that the billionaires build their wealth over a social structure that was not constructed by themselves, it was constructed by the people and ultimately by the state. This social structure is a leverage to anyone of us but money and the inherent power it brings acts as a force multiplier. This is why the rich can make more money easily than the rest of us, because the have a larger multiplying factor. In other words, multiply whatever you like by zero, you will get zero.

This is why we as a society need to level the field or the society will degrade and no longer be that leverage to wealth. We can level the field by taxing and redistributing or we can level the field by imposing investment in some sort of wealth cap, above a certain amount all the capital must be invested in new developments, in higher salaries, etc.

If we think, allowing the rich to become richer and the poor to become poorer is the same as destroying the social fabric, redistributing wealth that was generated using the social fabric is maintaining the social fabric to continue to generate wealth and opportunities.

Dear Nevadans: Document Everything . Skip Work. Drag Friends And Family To Caucus With You.

I trust that things will go smoother this time — better than both this year's Iowa caucuses and 2016's Nevada caucuses. But to ensure that is the case, there is also something you can do.

The idea is simple: Take pictures/videos of the numbers written on the chalkboard, on paper, everything. Capture all of it: 1st alignment votes, 2nd alignment, totals, delegates (down to percentages), etc. Indicate if there has been a coin flip and whom it favored. (On coin flips, insist that the coin hit the floor, not be caught in mid-air.) Indicate which precinct you are in.

The Nevada Democratic Party just asked caucus volunteers to sign Non-Disclosure Agreements. Whatever it was they did not want to disclose, you can do your part to increase the transparency of this process. If we have sufficient independent documentation, we will be able to corroborate the official results and independently calculate everything. Maybe we will be able to put out a crowdsourced tally of everything, complete with photographic/video evidence. Wouldn't that be cool?

I know it's a weekend, but it still has to be said: skip work (or class if applicable). Because the type of people who have to work hard even on Saturdays are the ones who need Bernie to win the most. Worry about your boss later. Take a look at this graph, showing voter turnout percentage vs income. Poor people are much less likely to vote — even voting is a privilege. This is very alarming. It means people who do not understand your struggles are the ones deciding your future. Don't let them.

And to maximize our margins of victory, bring as many people as possible. Ask your apathetic/"apolitical" friends and family for a favor and just caucus for Bernie, since it doesn't matter to them. Show up with your pro-Bernie buddies. Don't be complacent. Winning is not enough, we need to win by a landslide. The only way to guarantee Bernie's nomination is by winning the majority of delegates, which is why we need to get as many people as possible to participate. Best of luck to you!

Small Businesses and Medicare for All

I'm working on my conservative in-laws who own a small business with 20 or so employees. They don't like Trump and I'm hoping to swing them from a non vote to a Bernie vote in the general, if not a primary. The idea that Medicare for All would eliminate the costs of paying an insurance company was an idea that made them stop and think for a minute.

Does anyone have a good resource for more details about Bernie's tax plan and how it would impact small businesses?

Looking to help the campaign with some free software I developed that can help people get others to the polls. Anyone know how I can get in contact with somebody?

Donate and support us on Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/bePatron?c=1785147

I am currently living in the middle of nowhere and have pretty limited cash but I want to help out the campaign, as I did in 2016. I am going to begin phonebanking next week. I know its late… I didn't do as much as I could this go around, but I want to.

In 2018, I released an app and mobile website on Android and iOS that was intended to be a peer to peer version of Uber. Basically, drivers would get paid directly and set their own rate like taxis do, but they would have this app and alot of other features to make it a platform for people to build small businesses and free them from Uber's oppression.

It hasn't gotten much traction and I LOVE BERNIE, so I was thinking I could competely overhaul the site to make it a carpooling app for getting folks who need rides to polls and other campaign events. As someone who lives in a rural area, without a car in a big state like Texas, I feel like this could at least get us a few thousand or hundred votes.

Alternatively, I would license it to the campaign for free.

Basically, the app lets drivers choose the range they are willing to make pickups and dropoffs in, passengers and drivers can favorite each other, it has a social network and messaging component built in as well.

I am sure other stuff like this exists, but this could be specifically for Bernie's campaign. Also, I haven't looked into what else is out there, but my app isn't that stupid Shadow app, its been tested extensively for 2 years and debugged by 3 different people. It works.

Anyway, would love to help out if this could be of any use. If you want to see it, its on iTunes and Android.

25cab or 25Cab is the app name

25cab.com is the website (it works as both, you dont have to download an app to use all of the features, I don't believe in forcing people to download apps and my app collects zero metadata and since I am the sole owner I promise I will never sell or give away user data. That is why I'd be happy to license it and not even have control of it.)

What if a billionaire donated to Sanders?

Donate and support us on Patreon! https://www.patreon.com/bePatron?c=1785147

For starters, what does he mean with zero billionaire donors? His whole career? This presidential campaign? How can he be sure? (maybe the last question is a bit silly)

Second, has any billionaire tried to donate to him? I guess not, but what if someone were to donate? Would he refuse the money, even if in the millions, or would he take the money without questioning? What if this billionaire was donating just to make him stop claiming the zero billionaires figure? At what point would it be worth it for Bernie to just accept the money, despite the negative press he may get from it?

Not trying to start anything, just a curiosity from an European.
