So Reddit — as a 38 year old individual, I have officially donated to a political campaign for the first time in my life. Over the past 3 weeks, I have seen what I believe to be a failed/failing system acquit a criminal without calling witnesses, the Iowa Democratic Party drop the ball during what is arguably one of the most important nights of the election season, and virtual crickets after Bernie won the popular vote in both Iowa and New Hampshire. Fed up, I donated $ 50 dollars a few days ago and another $ 50 dollars today on payday.
It fills me with a sense of pride that I'm not just bitching about the administration that is currently in place, but I'm using my resources (in addition to voting) to help replace that administration with one that I feel is more concerned with basic human rights and dignity.
