A common objection to having stronger labor laws is that it will "shut down mom and pop businesses" because they "can't afford [higher minimum wages / healthcare / paid vacation / sick leave / whatever".
So, we should tax larger corporations and use that money for small businesses to afford these "expensive" living standards.
You know, like welfare. But for corporations.
Wealthy corporations should subsidize small businesses so they can afford the "burden" of strong labor laws.
Let's take back the term of corporate welfare.
