Has Bernie addressed how he will deal with the transition period vis-a-vis taxes on people who aren't immediately brought under the Medicare umbrella?
More broadly, he's discussed the 4% hike on earnings above $ 29K, but how would that apply to the pool of people who will still be on other insurance policies for 1-3 years during the phase-in? Paying M4A taxes in addition to buying separate insurance would be something the right could look to have a field day with, though I presume that would not happen. Would those people would be allowed to write it off?
