I dunno maybe this is dumb, but I had a shower thought.
Unions are powerful due to collective bargaining and the tools at their disposal (strikes, etc)
Medicare for All would lower prices due to the collective bargaining power of the entire nation, and the other stuff (reduced admin costs, etc).
If the system screws us over and Bernie doesn't get the nomination somehow, or even if he does, what if he founded a general union with the ability to negotiate it's member's health insurance? We could use general strikes to push through legislation that benefits us all, etc? Like I see numbers in the first two states that show a third of folks voting Bernie.
I dunno, again I'm sure there are things I'm completely ignorant of, but like, is there a reason not to do this sort of thing?
