Bernie: I’m not much into all these speculations and all these polls. One day a poll has me doing great, the next day a poll has me doing terrible. But at the end of the day, I think we’re going to win, because we have an extraordinary grass-roots movement.

That quote is from another poor article from Wapo published today (link is below). The quote is already pushing max length for a title so here's the full quote that has one extra line:

“I'm not much into all these speculations and all these polls,” Sanders said. “One day a poll has me doing great, the next day a poll has me doing terrible. It has a lot to do with who you're polling and what questions you're asking. But at the end of the day, I think we're going to win, because we have an extraordinary grass-roots movement.”

When someone tells you they don’t like Bernie because he is a socialist…

Ask them this:

Do you love freedom? Do you think America is the freest country on earth?

You'll almost universally get the same response, a resounding yes and yes.

Follow up with another question, it can be real or hypothetical depending on how well you know the person.

If you were unhappy at your job, would you be able to leave today and search for a new one?

The answer is almost always a resounding no. Our 'freedom' isn't as wonderful as people make it out to be. People can't find a new job because they're unhappy. They live paycheck to paycheck. They have massive student loan debt and payments due on it. They have to make sure their families have health insurance. They might not even have enough money to pay rent or buy food. True freedom is being able to pursue whatever level of happiness you desire, and in our system as it is, most people are unable to do that. I've had this conversation several times and it almost always opens eyes.

We won't win this thing unless each and every one of us makes those personal connections. Get out there and TALK to people.

I know she has not made an official endorsement and won't till it doesn't matter, but this email made me so sad I couldn't follow her anymore. Why does everyone abandon Bernie when he needs them most?

Here is the email from Team AOC:

"When you recycle, it’s a good thing. Choosing to take the bus over driving to work is helpful for the planet. Buying an energy efficient lightbulb is something we should all do.

But in last night’s climate town hall, Elizabeth Warren was right to point out a simple fact — that individualizing the climate crisis is exactly what the fossil fuel companies want us to do. They don’t want the solution to be eliminating fossil fuels altogether, they want us to think we’ll save the world by eating a little less meat.

That’s not the case. The only pathway to saving our planet for future generations, holding massive fossil fuel companies accountable, and creating millions of green new jobs along the way, is a Green New Deal. Help us pass it. We’re building a movement — community by community — to win powerful action on climate change. Will you chip in to join that movement? Multiple candidates — like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren and others — got it right. Fossil fuel companies don’t get to shorten our life spans with impunity. They don’t get to destroy low-income communities without consequences.

We have to act. And the impetus for change can’t be on the average household, because they’re not the ones who did this. Companies like Exxon, who knew about the science behind climate change and deliberately hid it from us for decades, are the ones who need to change.

And together, we’re not just going to hold them accountable. We’re going to rise to the greatest challenge of our era, and we’ll come out of it stronger — by passing a Green New Deal.

Pa'lante,

Team AOC"

So my 100 percent disabled veteran father doesnt have to take 6+ medications a day for his pain and pysch because the VA doesn't allow veterans to smoke weed. He cant get his disability if he smokes. He is so much more alive and awoke when he smokes weed instead of doped up zombie on these pain medications. I miss my dad. He served in the army for 15+ years if he wants to smoke fucking weed he deserves to without being penalized. Bernie will legalize weed! Weed is good!

And so many other reasons!!!!
