Fox Business Story on Trump’s Tax Story = Bernie is a Tax Cheat – Fox News

This is downright shady as fuck. The average person will read a headline and consider the content to be along those lines. The story says (so you do not have to click it) Bernie, who disclosed his tax returns, under paid his taxes by about $ 4000. In other words, if you were not a delusional propaganda machine you might think pointing out that a candidate that wants the rich to pay more in taxes and actually pays taxes is a good thing. Nope. They are even angry that a few decades ago Sanders said millionaires should not be Senators. Yet he is a millionaire, who pays taxes and a Senator. Aghast!

Yet, this story is not about Bernie. It is how Fox Business Politics is protecting Trump. At the bottom of the story they have this buried : Meanwhile, on Tuesday The New York Times obtained tax information pertaining to President Trump – who is currently locked in a battle on Capitol Hill regarding the release of his tax returns. The Times said Trump reported $ 1.17 billion in losses in the decade beginning in 1985. Those losses allowed Trump to avoid paying income taxes for eight of ten years.

In response, Trump said on Twitter that real estate developers during those times were “entitled to massive write offs and depreciation which would, if one was actively building, show losses and tax losses in almost all cases.”

We know that Fox has the batline to reach the President on this. Yet they made no effort to reach out for a comment they just posted his Tweet and called it covered. No hard questions for Trump on losses that were at record levels but Bernie is the headline.

I hesitate to even lin the article because fuck Fox

Bernie Sanders: Today, the Senate will vote on overriding Trump’s veto of our bipartisan bill to end unlawful U.S. participation in the Saudi-led war in Yemen. This is not about partisan politics. What’s at stake are millions of innocent lives and our Constitution. I urge my colleagues vote yes.

Idea: Trump is ignoring all the other candidates and desperately attacking Bernie Sanders & Medicare for All because Trump knows how strong a Democratic nominee Bernie would be, and Trump knows how a Medicare for All-themed campaign would defeat Trump’s re-election bid.

Where are Bernie’s tax returns? Where are Trump’s tax returns?

Just saw someone pondering this on another subreddit.

I suspect Bernie is purposely withholding his tax returns (and will continue to do so), but only as a political ploy.

As soon as he goes up against Trump he can point out that Trump has not disclosed his taxes yet either. He can then use it as a leverage point and highlight Trump’s hypocrisy.

If Bernie releases his taxes now, he loses all leverage later in the game. We all know Bernie is a straight shooter. He’s playing the long game and using it to draw attention to the fact that Trump has not released his tax returns.

Any other thoughts around this topic?

If the Muller investigation is inconclusive about Trump’s involvement in alleged collusion, then Democrats including Sanders need to go after Trump on his character and policy ALONE — Anything more and Trump will shout “no collusion” all the way back to the White House in 2020.

Though the full report has not been released, only information derived from the report that is evidentiary and conclusive about any particular activity or crime, related or unrelated to collusion, should be carefully scrutinized by the campaign of Sanders or any other Democratic candidate.

But, it cannot be speculative. And, by speculative I mean anything that was not explicitely documented in Muller's 2+ year investigation. Nor, anything that is not revealed during Mueller's inevitable subpoena hearing.

This, no matter what you think of Trump, the report, Robert Mueller, or the integrity of the investigation itself.

The Media will continue to try to connect Trump to Russia for the next coming months, perhaps years.

But it is true, and it has always been true that Trump can and will be defeated if he is attacked on the merits of his character and his policy decisions, alone. Full stop.

We do not need RussiaGate. We never did, we never will.

If there is any attempt by any Democratic candidate to continue to draw connections between Trump and Russia, it will only serve to bolster Trumps base who are currently ceremoniously rejoicing over Trump's enourmous victory.

Any attempt of this kind will hurt the entire Democratic ticket, will backfire against the candidate, and we will all pay sorely for it.

Some of us may say we have all the evidence we need to implicate Trump in collusion, some of us may not.

But the highest criminal/investigative authority in this country disagrees and that's all that will ever matter to Trump's support base.

Wages are increasing because of Minimum Wage Laws pushed by Cities and States, Not “Trumps Economy”

All of the candidates running against Trump need to get on the same page and they need to do it FAST Trump and his backers are constantly taking credit for two things on television and online: Low Unemployment and increasing wages.

What they leave out is that wages are increasing because of Minimum Wage Laws that took effect January 2019, pushed by cities states and democratic led efforts. It has very little to do with Trump's economy. These wage laws are increasing wages for low-wage workers faster than high wage workers, thats why the ~3% wage growth is so skewed, because a lot of people are affected by a rising minimum wage.

The other statistic is low unemployment: Its a fake number. Labor force participation is at a 40 year low, meaning there are fewer people working than in a generation. There are fewer black people working, fewer white people working, fewer people working of all ethnicities. SO dont let Trump lie about black unemployment. Low unemployment doesnt mean anything if there are fewer jobs it means many people have given up looking for work.

Democrats are making a HUGE mistake that could COST THEM THIS ELECTION if they let these LIES continue into 2020. Bernie and the other democrats in the race need to get on the same page about this TODAY.
